This tutorial is for Redmi 2 and Redmi 2 Prime only
MIUI 9 is Xiaomi’s latest update and brings in a lot of design changes along with some improved experience as well. Now, this device is lagging a lot in 2018. No matter how many times you reset it. It’s not going to handle latest software updates. However, If you install a custom ROM, then there are chances to get the best performance. There are many custom ROMs out there for this device.
In this video, I will show you how to install a custom recovery and root this device. After installing a custom recovery you are able to install any custom ROM on your device. If you don’t wanna install any custom ROM and prefer stock ROM, I will suggest you downgrade it to MIUI 8. MIUI 8 is faster than MIUI 9. You can also root it to uninstall unnecessary apps.
And before you ask a question, yeah… I am doing this in 2018.
