(7 Apr 1958) One outstanding item in the modernisation of British Railways is the new "Deltic" diesel-electric locomotive. It's reported that over twenty of them are being ordered: and they will haul such famous expresses, as "The Flying Scotsman", and "The Elizabethan". The "Deltic" is capable of well over a hundred miles an hour.
