Elli Lilly maker of the type 2 diabetes drug and currently off-label sensation Mounjaro may be headed for some major shortages. With recent authorization granted in the EU and rumored to be approved in Canada, Lilly's president stated that they were unlikely to meet near term demand.
The good news is that Lilly understands that in order to compete in what is expected to be a 50B$ market by 2030, they will seek to double their manufacturing capabilities by the end of 2023.
