On March 4, the International Criminal Court (ICC) issued an arrest warrant against Omar al-Bashir, the Sudanese president.
Al-Bashir's reaction to the arrest warrant was brutal. In retaliation, he shut down 13 relief agencies and expelled aid workers.
Since the warrant was issued, the ICC has also been exploring an investigation into war crimes by Israel, including the use of white phosphorus shells in densely populated civilian areas of Gaza.

Israel initially denied the use of the controversial weapon, but mounting evidence forced Israeli officials to admit its use.
The ICC has received more than 200 requests from individuals and organisations, including Amnesty International and the Arab League, to look into "war on Gaza" allegations.
We speak to Luis Moreno-Ocampo, the chief prosecutor of the International Criminal Court, about how he will pursue his arrest warrant for al-Bashir and the possibility of investigating alleged war crimes by Israel.
