The National Alzheimer’s Coordinating Center (NACC) possesses one of the largest Alzheimer’s disease and dementia datasets in the world. Consequently, the servers on which the data is stored can come under considerable strain. Duane Beekly, BS from the University of Washington, Seattle, WA provides details about the NACC’s plans to move to cloud-based servers, and what this means for the database and those wishing to access its information.
