The situation in Assam is tense with curfew in one of the Bodoland Territorial Administration Districts and some clashes. 12 persons were gunned down in 2 separate incidents the previous night by suspected terrorists seeking the carving of a separate Bodoland from the state. Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi has cancelled a trip abroad. Army has been deployed to tackle the situation which has come to a head soon after polling has ended in the state.
