GNOME 44 has been released with many improvements, including a GTK4 port of the Epiphany browser, improvements in the Control Center with features such as background application monitoring, and improvements in the Settings app, such as support for sharing Wi-Fi connections via QR code. It will be the default environment in Fedora Linux 38 and Ubuntu 23.04.
