Despite being vastly outnumbered, Pun fearlessly engaged the enemy. Displaying exceptional combat skills, he utilized both firearms and grenades to repel the attackers, saving the lives of his fellow soldiers. His unwavering courage and remarkable leadership under extreme duress led to him being awarded the Victoria Cross, the highest military decoration in the British and Commonwealth forces.
