The primary election for the next mayor of Los Angeles is just a few weeks away. To help get you ballot-ready, KPCC host Austin Cross (he/him) is sitting down with the candidates for a series of one-on-one interviews — and asking them your top questions.
Mike Feuer (he/him) has served as Los Angeles City Attorney since 2013. He served in the State Assembly from 2006-2012 and on the L.A. City Council from 1994-2001. Feuer has a law degree from Harvard University and has taught at UCLA School of Law. He is a former executive director of Bet Tzedek Legal Services and has also worked in private practice. Feuer was born in San Bernardino and turns 64 years old in May.
Note: The determination for candidate participation was initially based on results of a February poll conducted by UC Berkeley Institute of Governmental Studies and the Los Angeles Times. Invitations were extended to candidates who polled at least 3% at that time. Based on the latest polling data , which showed Gina Viola ahead of another previously invited candidate, we have now extended an invitation that she has accepted. All candidates with active campaigns will be invited to participate in our interactive Meet Your Mayor questionnaire.
This coverage was made possible through support by the Committee for Greater LA in partnership with the Conrad N. Hilton Foundation and the Weingart Foundation.
