Singapore President Halimah Yacob and Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong have written to Indonesian President Joko Widodo, conveying their condolences on the passing of his mother, Sudjiatmi Notomihardjo. Mdm Halimah said both she and her husband extend their deepest condolences, and hope Mr Widodo and his family will find solace and strength. PM Lee said although both he and his wife, Ho Ching, never had the opportunity to meet Sudjiatmi Notomihardjo, they know what it is like to lose a parent. He added that their thoughts and prayers are with Mr Widodo and his family during this difficult time.
