Flemish poet, Maud Vanhauwaert, created the video 'Poëzie en public', in which she recites lines of poetry to unsuspecting strangers on the street. The Belgian public's reaction proved extremely interesting and caused students of Dutch at the University of Sheffield to wonder how this would play out in our own city. Thus, we tried to recreate elements of Maud's video in Sheffield - in a mix of Dutch and English - and see what happened.
