Delhi: After days of intense heat, residents of Delhi and its neighboring areas finally experienced relief as rain showers brought down temperatures. The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) predicted the possibility of light to moderate rainfall, accompanied by thunder and lightning, across Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, and Haryana in the coming hours. The region woke up to pleasant weather, with parts of Delhi, Noida, and Gurugram reporting rainfall. The minimum temperature dropped to 28 degrees Celsius from the scorching 40 degrees Celsius, providing respite from the heatwave and dry winds. The IMD forecasted a week of pleasant weather, with more rain expected in the next two hours.
