I have a lot of people ask me about the Garmin Edge 1000 buttons as the front are made of a solid metal but the side button is made of a squishy plastic. The front buttons are really responsive and the side button you have to hit just right for it to work. This I believe is one of the major fault with the Garmin Edge 1000. Hopefully in the future Garmin may rectify this problem and either make the side button a bit sturdier and more responsive.
