The US navy on Monday began their biennial exercise "Valiant Shield" in the West Pacific. The 12-day drill will be conducted in waters near Guam and around the Marianas Island Range Complex. The US has mobilized aircraft carrier USS Ronald Reagan, three amphibious vessels and nine other surface ships. Over 180 aircraft will also participate.
