In Tamil Nadu every year the Engineering admission is done through TNEA counseling which is conducted by DOTE. There are more than 480 engineering colleges in Tamil Nadu participate in this single window counseling. Through TNEA counseling they fill seats in Government and Self financing Engineering colleges.
TNEA provides the previous year cutoff and Rank list details in the official TNEA website every year during the counseling. And these data's are collected by the Dhisai4 and various analysis is prepared to provide its viewer's.
There is always a heavy competition for the University and Government Engineering colleges in Tamil Nadu. Apart form these there are also few private colleges which are more in demand.
The demand for these colleges are based on their reputation and their consistent performance in the previous year seat filling in TNEA. Also their placement plays a key role in their Admission.
Now a days TNEA counseling is conducted through online mode. So students can prepare a choice list of colleges and attend the TNEA counseling.
Generally TNEA counseling is conducted during the July and August month. TNEA application will be issued from May month after the plus 2 result.
Lateral entry counseling is conducted for direct second year admission at Algappa Chettiyar College, Karaikudi for Diploma graduates every year during June month.
