Hi all! In this video I am going to show you how to get a premium finish for your gable for less than the cost of painting! In this episode I stain the shingles and install them myself on the front of the house!

I was quoted over $3,000 just to have the gable repainted but I was able to buy all of the materials including stain for approximately $1500 and I only had to pay the crew $500 to install the shingles on the back gable. So long story short for $1,000 less than the price of painting I was able to get a premium cedar shingle finish for my gables that will provide superior weather protection for the house as well as actually increase the curb appeal of my property!

I stained all of the shingles myself as well which saved significant cost as well as stained them before install to avoid having to stain them off a ladder.
