For DDR machine, don't forget to use MAME "joystick_contradictory" setting. Create a ini\source\ksys573.ini file and use this options:
joystick_contradictory 1

Try this settings to avoid sound crackling and popping.

Save this file as ddr4m.cfg inside the cfg folder.
