Salmonella bacteria spreads easily in good conditions and can cause a serious health problem for anyone. That's why ECDC, along with EFSA - the European Food Safety Authority and EU Member States stay on guard to prevent and control any salmonella outbreaks in Europe.
One of the most recent ones involved chocolate products and became a showcase of how the authorities work together to keep the citizens safe.
