It felt like I was the only one not at the Severn Valley Steam gala today as it was certainly lonely at my chosen locations.
Widney Manor didn't disappoint as after a recent firing 7029 raced through leaving a smoke trail in her wake on the first return trip from Stratford to Birmingham Snow Hill.
Moving to Whitlocks End station on the North Warwick line for a less frantic tender first shot on the second run to Stratford.
It was nice to meet up with and chat with a fellow YouTuber Dan Such and his 'better half' (I'm sure).
Later and back to the main line dash, I decided against the classic Lapworth station shot and went between there and Dorridge. The birdsong was soon overwhelmed as Clun's distant whistle announced her approach to Lapworth and the gradual increase in her exhaust as she thundered past towards Dorridge heading back to Snow Hill to complete her day out!!
