Holly Nicholas of TheRebel.Media reports, the organizers behind the "Vote Together" campaign that brought the split left vote together in conservative swing ridings was partially funded by foreign cash.
You'd know that if you followed Vivian Krause@FairQuestions on Twitter. She does the often complex work of tracking foreign money that funds many anti-oil and gas campaigns in Canada.
Under section 358 of the Canada Elections Act, it's illegal for third parties to use foreign cash to campaign.
Through Vivian's efforts, we see that the U.S. based Tides Foundation funded Leadnow.ca -- and Leadnow.ca coordinated strategic voting efforts across the country through their more visible "Vote Together" campaign.
Did the foreign funded "Vote Together" initiative push Justin Trudeau to a majority government?
Was this costly, well organized effort only about getting rid of Stephen Harper -- or is there another motivation that is as well hidden as the foreign funders?
