LAS TERRENAS: TOUR OF MY APARTMENT IN HOTEL OASIS, POPY BEACH This video shows you the apartment I rented at Hotel Oasis for 2 months in the Popy Beach area. Hotel Oasis is really an apartment complex, not a hotel (ie.no restaurant). It has a lovely garden area with a large communal pool; gated with security guard; and easy walking distance to the beach. It is a peaceful reprieve from the noisier areas along the highway. Great for solo travellers. I felt safe walking back to my apartment at night from town; most of the walkway is well-lit. #nancysolotrips

Playa Popy, only a 15-minute walk from downtown, is the social and water sports hub of Las Terrenas. Have fun watching the kite-surfers near Playa Punta (point) Popy. On the western side of the beach, there are calmer waters for swimming, and when the tide comes in, you can play in the waves.
