You Tube. The place were we all share what we wish to share on videos: private life or what pets can do or promoting favorite stuff even when we get sponsored for. There's almost nothing we don't share on posted videos.
But, posting videos is under tighten restrictions nowadays. It wasn't when I had my first You Tube account in 2011. I have had many accounts at that time. Since the tighten restrictions only two are left. One for various stuff and the other for my Syria assessment which is launched last March 1, 2018.
Why this channel?
The current situation in Syria ... that means what a few individuals have made, and still are making of it .... has vanished the real issue, vanished the real cause that have led to the current situation in Syria. Not ISIL or Deash. Not any other insane group. They wouldn't be in Syria if there was a decently and humane conducting government. But, Syria never has known such government.
I found myself the feeling to set things right by doing just one thing: reconstructing the whole period: from 2011 to the present time of today. Reconstructing, but without giving any comment, any information about each posted video except when and were is taken. Every information I would like to provide will only prompt to opposing, rejection, or worse utmost criticism or even (false) flagging. In other words: let each video tell you what have happened.
Over the years, there are thousands of videos collected: from demonstrations in 2011 to the current war of today.
As you already might know, each You Tube account has a limit of uploaded video posts. I cannot upload all videos. I have to select and in particular in accordance to the guidelines. That's very difficult because it threatens to pull the overall context apart. Here's why:
I follow Syria since February 2011 when there were already demonstrations but not the Arab Spring.
The very first demonstration was on February 24, 2011 was not really a demonstration but a rally to celebrate the death of the Libyan dictator Gaddafi. He was killed on this day. The rally was seen as a message to Bashar al-Assad.
Three days later, there was another demonstration but against the police in Damascus who held a man in jail. The man could only be released if he paid a ransom. The man couldn't. I do not know how the public got noticed but it prompted to a protest against corruption by the police. It is this incident that was the very beginning of the Syria uprising not the protest in Daraa which broke out in March 2011.
The demonstrators in Damascus where the first Syrians who chanted for freedom. This event is not only historic but also the educational start of this channel.
My channel is meant for viewers who are not interested in the politics behind the entire topic about Syria. So, recommended to viewers who simply wish to know how it all started and how it al have developed into the current situation in Syria.
It's learning history by watching real content. Each video post includes a restriction warning to meet the guidelines of YouTube.
