Got matcha laying around?
If you love Matcha and carbs as much as I do, then this recipe might just be perfect for you! This milk bread is easy to make and doesn't take too much time. it's a great intro bread and fun to make.
*Here's what you'll need*
A scale to measure, a bit of patience and good quality matcha powder.
*Ingredients*
Tangzhong
43 grams water
43 grams milk
14 grams flour

Dough
~Dry~
300 grams flour
2 teaspoons high quality matcha powder
14 grams milk powder (if you don't have, skip it!)
50 grams sugar
1 tsp salt
6 grams instant yeast (this is different from active dry yeast)
~Wet~
113 grams warmed milk
57 grams butter
1 large egg

Honey butter filling
60 grams butter
12 grams flour
80 grams evaporated milk
42 grams honey
