In geometry, there are 7 types of important pairs of angles to take note of because they are so common. This first type- complementary (with an “e”, not complimentary with an “i”) angles- occur most often when there are perpendicular lines, which form right angles because right angles have a measure of 90°. So anytime you see a right angle being split by another line, you’ll end up with a pair of complementary angles.
