Cecelia Garcia, 44, from Beckenham, South East London, was left feeling sick after she received the shocking message which the staff member left by mistake. The tirade of abuse was recorded after the employee failed to hang up and went on to criticise claimants with ‘foreign sounding’ names to a colleague in her office. Mrs Garcia, who has turned to benefits to top up her income after separating from her partner last year, was left reeling by the recording left last week. She had checked her messages to find a voicemail claiming to be Ann Goode from Bromley Job Centre, who asked her to call back next week. But instead of hanging up, the message continues - capturing a conversation between the staff members who were unaware they were being recorded.
