Thoughts:
For some reason Cannondale likes to make us mechanics do more work than we should have to do with poor quality control from whatever factory these bikes are coming from in Asia. Like most Cannondales I have built this one had quality control issues out of the box. Once everything was put together you still have to adjust the front and rear derailleur. The weight measured was without pedals but with reflectors and spoke protector installed. I don't know what it is about Cannondale bikes but they tend to require more work than should be necessary to give my customers a bike that is up to my standards. Come on Cannondale step up your quality control. These bikes are some of the most frustrating bikes to build which the consumer doesn't experience unless they buy direct. Bikes should not come "BROKEN" out of the box. There are parts in the video I show the gears skipping, brakes rubbing, and the mess of cables they send you to deal with. I also included pictures of my clean up of that mess but I doubt your mechanic will go through that extra effort to make your bike look good. I build my customers bikes like I would build my own. With all that said if you do decide to build the bike at home I have listed the tools I used in this video
