Darwin’s Theory of Evolution finds Parallels in Hindu Texts and Mythology. Only that this concept existed Thousands of Years ago in the form of Avatars (Incarnations) of Vishnu.

There Are 10 Avatars (Dashavatara) of VISHNU – The Preserver or Protector of The Universe according to The Garuda Purana.

The Vishnu Avatars appear in Hindu mythology whenever the cosmos is in crisis, typically because the evil has grown stronger and has thrown the cosmos out of its balance.

#1st Avatar: MATSYA - Fish - Hindu mythology says that first there was only primeval water which covered the earth like a flood. Vishnu's first incarnation as a fish indicated the first appearance of life in the aquatic form.
EVOLUTION: The first class of vertebrates evolved in water - Indicates origin of Fishes in Silurian Period.

#2nd Avatar: KURMA - Amphibian - The Tortoise, from the Satya Yuga.
EVOLUTION: Amphibious (living in both water and land). Indicates origin of Amphibians in Devonian Period.

#3rd Avatar: VARAHA - Mammal - The Boar, from the Satya Yuga.
EVOLUTION: Mammals, wild land animals - Indicates Mammals origin in Triassic Period.

#4th Avatar: NARASIMHA – Half Man Half Animal - The Half-Man/Half-Lion, from the Satya Yuga.
EVOLUTION: Beings that are half-animal and half-human - indicative of emergence of human thoughts and intelligence in powerful wild nature.

#5th Avatar: VAMANA – Short Human - A Dwarf, from the Treta Yuga.
EVOLUTION: Short, premature human beings.

#6th Avatar: PARASHURAMA – Early Human - Warrior with the axe, from the Treta Yuga.
EVOLUTION: Early humans living in forests and using weapons.

#7th Avatar: RAMA – Human - The Prince and King of Ayodhya, from the Treta Yuga.
EVOLUTION: Humans living in community, beginning of civil society.

#8th Avatar: KRISHNA – Human - The Cow Herder, Warrior and Tactician, and Narrator of The Bhagavad Gita, from the Dwapara Yuga.
EVOLUTION: Humans practicing animal husbandry, politically advanced societies.

#9th Avatar: BUDDHA – Human - Gautama Buddha, the founder of Buddhism, from the Kali Yuga.
EVOLUTION: Humans finding enlightenment.

#10th Avatar: KALKI – Human - "Eternity", or "White Horse", or "Destroyer of Darkness”, will be the final incarnation of Vishnu, foretold to appear at the end of Kali Yuga, our present epoch. He will be atop a white horse and his sword will be drawn, blazing like a comet.
EVOLUTION: Advanced humans with great powers of destruction.
