The Mini is famous throughout the world and is known as a British icon. The swinging 60’s saw car design change forever with the transverse engine. Sir Alec issigonis wanted to build an economy car with a small exterior but big interior.
This design didn’t change for 40 years and the Mini became a fashion statement and part of British pop culture.
Now in 2021 the BMW Mini is now in its 20th year and still to this date tributes are shown to John cooper who helped the then Mini win the Monte Carlo rally in 1961. The 2021 John cooper works kicks out 220bhp respectively and pays homage to the Minis racing past.
