While CBS was getting ready to premiere a movie that tackled a serious subject that hit one of its cast members home, this was what was airing on the CBS Schoolbreak Special.
If you saw my Wizard of Oz break I uploaded last week, there was a promo for this schoolbreak special I enjoyed watching while I was in the 5th grade (and BTW, I was not alive when this premiered, I just watched the special out of curiosity). The special is actually on YT, but without its commercials. Someone had actually uploaded this special with its commercials, but that's been privatized, which is why I'm re-uploading the video. Here is: The Day the Senior Class Got Married as it originally aired on KCBS in Los Angeles.

The Schoolbreak Intro, already in progress (SO EIGHTIES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And BTW, you are looking at lost media, as if you were to search for the schoolbreak intro, chances are you might get this ([ Ссылка ])) followed by a break-bumper and the first break.
Break 1 includes:
-Hot Stuff Skipper from Mattel
-Swanson's Dinner (this must of been a popular commercial during 1985)
-Tussy roll-on antiperspirant for women
-Ruffles potato chips
After a break bumper, Act 1. Act 1 will be followed by a break-bumper and break 2.
Break 2 includes:
-Kellogg's Rice Krispies
-Sugar Free Jello
-Trident gum
-Lipton Noodles & Sauce mix
Act 2 starts immediately after another break-bumper, which in turn succeeds a silent "We've Got the Touch" ID. When Act 2 wraps up, we are treated to another break-bumper, and Break 3
Break 3A features commercials for:
-Wesson cooking oil
-Johnson's baby shampoo
-Caltrate
-McDonald's
This break is succeeded by a mid-commercial bumper and a "This is CBS" id.
Commercials from KCBS include:
-KCBS News at 5
-Standard Brands (when the original video was made private, a video featuring only this commercial and the two IDs that followed it were the only existing footage of this special's original broadcast. Luckily the whole enchilada is back on YT, and will stay on YT until the cows come home.)
-a 2 on the Town telop w/ station call letters and city of license
Another break-bumper precedes Break 3B
Break 3B advertises commercials for:
-Bob's Big Boy
-AirCal
-Beatrice's Peter Pan peanut butter (whew, that's a handful)
-Ban
And final, after yet another break-bumper, the long awaited Act 3...which in turn precedes a break-bumper, and these commercials.
Break 4 sees commercials for:
-Hamburger Helper Pizzabake
-Land Shark from Mattel's Masters of the Universe collection
And then a break bumper, followed by the fourth and final act. When the special concludes, we are treated to a breakbumper, and this.
The fifth and final station fed break includes commercials for:
-2 on the Town
-Lucky stores
After a silent bumper, the credits (take heed of the quality shift around costume design/associate producer credits; that's because on the original video, the credits were interrupted by the CBS id that followed, so I decided to use the off network copy of the special that was on YT and re-insert the credits from there. You're welcome).
And speaking of the CBS id, i'm aware that's its from the 1986-87 television season, but as I implied this was from the original. I decided to keep it in because I felt it completes the video.
