Hi there, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a quick look at this MORryde Safety Rail Telescoping RV Handrail. Now this is going to give you a nice sturdy handhold as you're going in and out of your RV, so gives you a little extra support, especially on those wobbly RV steps. I'm gonna switch my camera angle here so you can see how this would actually be installed with the top of our handrail there and the bottom down here. So when you extend this out, it is going to telescope out. It's going to give us an overall length of about 54 inches.
So that's going to be much larger than most handrails that come on your RV. So that's gonna give you extra length to grab onto, make sure you're nice and steady. This is going to stick out about 42 inches from the wall of your RV. So it's going to, again, be much larger than the standard handrail, so it's gonna give you more to hold onto. When you're done, you can retract it back down.
It's got this 120 pound force magnet that's going to hold it closed, so you can see how strong that magnet is. So you're not gonna have to worry about it opening up until you're ready. And once you have this installed it will be a little bit easier for you, but you can see it is going to pull away to get it opened up. But this is a powder coated steel construction so it is gonna be very durable for you. They include a couple of different brackets here for different applications so you just choose the bracket that works best for you.
We also include screws to get this all installed. So a couple things that aren't included are gonna be your caulk and your uh, your butyl tape. That's typically required for any installation into the exterior of your RV to help seal up those holes and make sure no water gets back behind there. This is just gonna be the rail set so I would recommend picking up some of those butyl tape and sealant to keep those holes nice and dry for you. But otherwise I think this is gonna be a really great option, especially for those of you who are having trouble reaching up to that RV handrail that you currently have for your steps.
And this is going to bring it down much lower and farther out so that you can have much easier sure grip on that as you're making your way in and out. That completes our look for today. Again, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Thanks for watching..
