A former sheriff has admitted making sexual and racists remarks during an online call after forgetting to switch off his microphone.
Alastair Duff, a former advocate and sheriff, was previously the director of the Judicial Institute of Scotland.
On Monday, the 69-year-old admitted making the comments at his home during an online training course in October 2021.
The remarks were made during a break in the WebEx meeting for justices of the peace.
Some of those in attendance overheard Duff speaking on a phone call. They reported the incident to the police.
