Africa's aviation sector has grabbed news headlines quite a bit lately.
AirSenegal signed a Memorandum of Understanding this week for the acquisition of eight Airbus A220-300 aircrafts. Ghana also signed a similar MoU with Boeing for the purchaseof three 787-9 Dreamliners as it seeks to re-launch a national airline.
On the flip side however,other airlines are dogged by challenges in their quest to stay in operation. 85-year-old South African Airways and Kenya Airways are some of the carriers plagued by challenges in their quests stay in the skies.
With these in mind, what is the general assessment of Africa's aviation industry?
