Since pastor Robert Morris the founding pastor of Gateway church was exposed for molesting a 12 year old child in the 80s, a lot has happened at Gateway church. Robert resigned after more details came out that he has been lying about the facts of what had actually happened but nothing else is known about him since he has never spoken in public.

Four Gateway Church elders, including Robert Morris's son, who were asked to take a leave of absence under the investigating law firm's recommendation until investigations are complete have started resigning. It started with the resignation of James Morris who was also nominated to succeed his father Robert as gateway pastor. The Church elder Tra announced his resignation was mutually agreed and he would not succeed his father at gateway now or in the future.
