Union Home Minister on Friday (January 2) said that the Centre had prior information about the Guwahati serial blasts. He said that they shared the information inputs with the state government. Chidambaram further added, "Information was shared with the Assam police, who launched a manhunt on December 31, 2008. The Assam police know who the perpetrators were and they will apprehend those responsible. They will be dealt with firmly and decisively."
