In this video we will zoom in to 15 amazing Tancho Koi Fish varieties, like the Tancho Kohaku, the Tancho Sanke, Tancho Showa and Tancho Kujaku. These Koi are characterized by the round red dot on the head, which is often referred to as the Japanse flag. Tancho Koi Fish have something special, they are unique Kois that are very popular.

But what makes a Tancho Kohaku, Tancho Showa or a Tancho Sanke so beautiful and special? To start with, it is not so common to see beautiful round red dots on a Tancho. It is very difficult to obtain a natural round circle. For that reason, the Koi automatically are a little bit more rare than most other Koi. Tancho Koi Fish are for due to that reason also more expensive than other Koi varieties

In this video series I will explain you the most beautiful and expensive Tancho Koi Fish varieties to you. This includes the Tancho Kohaku, Tancho Kujaku, Doitsu Tancho Showa, Tancho Sanke, Ginrin Tancho Kohaku and more beautiful Koi Fish!

Tancho Kohaku: also referred to as the Japanese flag. A white Koi fish with a red round dot on the head.

Ginrin Tancho Kohaku: this is similar to a Tancho Kohaku. But this Tancho Kohaku has scales that have a shiny effect in them, we call it ginrin. Gin stands for shiny and rin stands for sacle.

Tancho Showa: This is a Showa with a red round dot on the head. It does not have any other red markings on the body. The Showa has a black base with white patterns on it.

Tancho Sanke: A Sanke that has a red round dot on the head, the Tancho marking. The body of a Sanke is white and it has dark black paint drops on this white surface.

Tancho Kujaku: This is a Kujaku with a nice Tancho dot on the head. The Tancho Kujaku is very special, it is a rare variety you will not see often. The skin of a Kujaku is metallic and it looks as of each scale has a nice reticulation pattern in it.
