SPECIAL RESCUE FORCE SIMULATION EXERCISE (SIMEX)
KORONADAL CITY – BFP RXII headed by our newly promoted Regional Director, F/CSUPT ALVEN D VALDEZ, DSC conducted a Simulation Exercise (SIMEX) to the members of BFP XII Special Rescue Force (SRF) at the Prime Regional Center, Brgy. Carpenter Hill, Koronadal City, South Cotabato on 10 March 2022.

SUPT NOAH C PACALDA, Regional Chief Admin, pressed the button as a signal to start the said exercise. SUPT RANDOLF V ARBUTANTE (Deputy Regional Director for Operations), CINSP JONATHAN A GAZO (South Cotabato Provincial Fire Director), SINSP RICHARD G VISITACION (Polomolok Municipal Fire Marshal), INSP KENNETH JOHN E ETUCAS (Lake Sebu Municipal Fire Marshal), student volunteers, and other BFP personnel were also present to witness and support the activity.

The Simulation Exercise was a complex drill of different skills and rescue techniques under one multifaceted scenario. It covered the Incident Command System, CBRNE/HAZMAT, High Angle Rescue, Vehicular Fire and Extrication, Collapsed Structure Search and Rescue, and Mass Casualty Incident (MCI). It aims to hone the skills of the SRF to ensure that the team is always ready to respond to any form of incident with utmost precision, effectiveness, and efficiency.

SUPT PACALDA and SUPT ARBUTANTE also held a briefing by the end of the activity and pointed out minor areas for improvement. Overall, both expressed their commendation to the team and other participants for a job excellently done!
