In this video, we make perkedel kentang also known as Indonesian potato fritters. The process and ingredients vary depending on your taste and what ingredients you have on hand. This time we chopped the potatoes, but we sliced them in the past which helped them cook and mash quickly. Also, be sure the oil is the right temperature. Too high, they brown outside and don't cook inside. Too low, they cook outside, but fall apart. You can also substitute some ingredients such as add sugar, nutmeg or fried onions, etc. There are several different varieties so play around in the kitchen and see what you like best! And obviously, cook with a grown-up or guardian to be safe.
