Zarifa Mgoyan (Zara), UNESCO Artist for Peace - International Day of Persons with Disabilities
On the occasion of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities on 3 December 2020, UNESCO Artist for Peace Zara (Zarifa Mgoyan) shares a message of support for persons with disabilities around the world. In the context of the COVID-19 pandemic, the inclusion of persons with disabilities should be addressed even more urgently, as many of them, including women and girls, are disproportionately affected by the health, social and economic consequences of the global crisis.
"Tell our story - enable our rights". Join the new UNESCO platform Story4Development! This unique collection of stories on the empowerment of people with disabilities will support evidence-based and inclusive policies in the field of disability.
