I am no stranger to the S&W Shield Plus line. I have owned several models, including my most recent Shield Plus Performance Center... However these are all chambered in 9mm. When I was invited to test out the Smith and Wesson Shield Plus in .30 Super Carry, I was excited, yet skeptical. The .30 Super Carry is a round that was developed in early 2022 as a mix between the 9mm and .380. One major benefit to the .30 Super Carry is the capacity that it enables due to the thinner cartridge size.
Big question... How well does the S&W Shield Plus chambered in .30 Super Carry perform? Is it reliable? Is it powerful?
