After a successful check-out with my instructor a week earlier, it was now time for my first solo in the Cessna 172R Skyhawk, based at Lelystad Airport (EHLE). After 80 logged hours on the Tecnam Sierra it feels like I'm in school again while learning the ropes of the C172.
To respect safety and personal limits, I kept the flight relatively short and simple, focussing on the basics, C172 procedures and local operations, further no distractions from passengers. I'll most likely keep it like that for the next flights, until I feel more acquainted and comfortable with the C172.
Again, the POV video proves to be a very valuable tool for me to self-evaluate and improve my skills, since I already have picked-out some tiny mistakes and overlapses here and there, with my biggest "rookie fail" for you to laugh at: I flooded the engine on my first try... Surely, this is not going to happen to me again anytime soon !!! :).
