One of Melbourne's most prominent Indian business identities has been raided by the federal police and the investment watchdog over an alleged multi-million-dollar property investment scam.
Dozens of mum and dad investors from across Australia are accusing Amit Miglani, who's a convicted criminal, of masterminding the scheme.
They claim vows to return the money with a sizeable profit never materialised and say the business identity either threatened them or went to ground.
