Thai Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha has appointed a new 22-member committee to come up with measures to tackle the economic fallout from the COVID-19 pandemic. He will be joined by 11 cabinet members from ministries such as finance and commerce, and agriculture. The Thai central bank has warned of an 8.1% contraction in the country's economy for 2020, which would make it the worst-performing economy in the ASEAN region.
