California law requires middle and high school students to receive comprehensive sexual health education but there is no mention of menstruation health in the curriculum. 16-year-old student Sriya Srinivasan doesn’t think that’s right so she teamed up with Assemblymember Lori Wilson to get that changed. Wilson’s legislation, AB 2229, would alter the current sexual health curriculum by adding information regarding menstrual cycles, premenstrual syndrome and pain management.
