At our orthodontic office, we had the pleasure of meeting Stanna, who was getting her braces on with her supportive mom filming the process. Dr. Gerling was explaining his technique of putting the cuspid brackets on upside down, which would lead to optimal results for Stanna's smile. Itero Digital impressions are a more comfortable and accurate way to take impressions of a patient's teeth. iCat FLX scans are 3D images of the teeth and jaws that allow for more accurate treatment planning. Treatment for TMJ-TMD can help alleviate jaw pain and discomfort. TADS are small titanium screws that are temporarily placed in the jawbone to anchor orthodontic appliances. Retainers are worn after orthodontic treatment to help keep teeth in their new position. Surgical orthodontics includes procedures to correct jaw abnormalities and improve overall facial aesthetics.
