Your 11 p.m. Northeast Ohio weather forecast for Sept. 28, 2023: After lingering much-needed rain hangs around tonight into the early portion of our Friday, we'll begin to see some partial clearing later in the day. Highs will top out in the upper 60s to near 70.
Friday night looks great with partly cloudy skies and lows falling into the low to mid 50s. We'll have to watch for areas of fog to develop Friday night into Saturday morning.
For the weekend and beyond, lots of sunshine is expected with temps that soar into the upper 70s to near 80. This will take part due to a large ridge of high pressure that will set up shop across the Eastern US through at least next Wednesday. All good things must come to an end, however, and the signs point towards a pretty wild swing in temps at some point the following weekend (Oct. 7-8) which has the potential to bring us our coldest (yes cold) temps of the young Fall season so far. Stay tuned.
