Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov met with US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson on Wednesday in Washington for talks on Syria and Ukraine. The meeting came amid a political firestorm that has placed Moscow's alleged meddling in last year's presidential election back in the spotlight. Lavrov was also expected to meet with US President Donald Trump at the White House - an unusual Oval Office welcome for a foreign minister.
