This week, in a nearly unanimous decision, the U.S. Supreme Court declared Florida's death penalty system unconstitutional – essentially changing a 40 year judicial process. The state is one of only three that grants judges' the right to impose a death sentence - as opposed to juries, which is stated in the U.S. Constitution. Having the second highest number of inmates on death row in the country, how will this affect the hundreds of Florida’s inmates awaiting execution?
