The Continuous Particle Imaging and Classification System (CPICS) is an in-situ plankton microscope designed to capture color images of targets in ocean and freshwater systems. CPICS can identify organisms down to 20 micron, resolve features down to several micron. , and sample 11.8 Liters per hour.
This screencast demonstrates the capabilities of the Region of Interest (ROI) sorter software, which pulls out particles and plankton from full-framed images for further classification.
CPICS and the ROI sorter software were developed at Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution and can now be purchased at [ Ссылка ]
