FIDA A Reserve Grand Final 2023 Williamstown v Monash complete game.
Williamstown Seagulls FIDA Football Club Inc. is a football club which was set up in 2011 in partnership with Rosamond School, to provide sporting opportunities for people (male and female) with Intellectual Disabilities in the Inner Western suburbs of Melbourne. Football Integration Development Association is a football competition for people who attend special schools or have an Intellectual Disability.
The football club is assisted by Williamstown CYMS Football Club and Williamstown Superules Football Club. Williamstown Seagulls has 2 teams, a Senior team and a Reserves team, so even young or lower-functioning players are able to participate safely at an appropriate level. Most of our players are aged between 14 and 35.
Our games are played on Sundays, usually fortnightly, at venues around Melbourne, including The Fearon in Williamstown, which is our home ground. There are 10 rounds in the season, plus finals. Sometimes, transport can be provided to games venues.
Registration fees in 2024 are $250. This includes basic insurance cover as well as club membership and the game day fees. Before a person can play, the medical form must be filled in and returned, and all fees paid.
The team trains on WEDNESDAY nights, from April to September, from 4.30 - 6.00 PM at the Fearon Reserve in Osborne St Williamstown, Vic. (MELWAYS: 56 B10). Pre-Season training is at Seaholme Primary School, Civic Parade Altona, from 4.30 - 6.00 PM on Wednesdays, from the start of February until the end of March.
