Landwork 16 (rose windows) is a new site specific work by David Tully.
Starting with two locations in Dublin developing up to seven sites in
Ireland throughout 2013.
Although, in a current state of development / experimentation, Landwork 16
addresses themes of both mystery and reflection through anonymous discovery.
Mystery, as in a Rose Window symbolizes mystery, somehow. Seeing / attempting
to see / reach the unseen. Circular, like a lens, capturing. An eye, a witness.
Reflection, obviously (the window) an element of the past, made present
conceptually. Suggesting something continuous. Questioning an inner dialogue,
in terms of the buildings inner ambiguity, proposed by the installation.
Through anonymous discovery, a term coined describing David's practice. Where
work is anonymously added to environments, intervening, re-directing, even going
unrecognized or labelled as art.
